QM_SWAT V 0.04 By Joe Jared of 1:103/200@Fidonet
In NET_DEV, Rick Moore asked me if I'd be willing to hatch this
utility out to the general public, so here it is. Be Warned in
advance though! QM_SWAT issues no warnings, burps bells or
whistles in killing deadend passthru areas. It just does it.
The old Areas file will be saved as OldList.BBS, and all removed
areas will be saved as Swatlist.bbs in case it breaks. At this
time I'd like to point out one weakness in the current coding.
If any line is longer than 255 characters in your areas file, it
will choke on it. A future release will correct this nit, but
for those with lines that long, they really ought to consider
professional help. <g>
Instructions:
This part is really simple, because if you just enter on the
command line without parameters, it will specify them for you.
QM_SWAT Areasfile_Name Number_Of_Days
Example:
QM_SWAT Areas.bbs 90
In this example, all passthru areas with a QDUPES.DAT file of
greater than 90 days will be murdered with a passion, and the
directory killed. The line removed from areas.bbs will be found
in SWATList.BBS, and for future reference, if it breaks in
midrun, your areasfilename is OldList.BBS
Happy bug bashing,
JΦe.
